废话

Old ppl likes to lament, “when I was young, things were tougher.” I no longer believe that sentence entirely, for I say, ” When I was young, things were easier.” Relatively speaking i have a whole lot 'more time' as well when i was younger, so much so that i have to kill them indiscriminately. At present, i am beginning to regret my past actions. i might even have to pay for it. It must be karma i tell you, if not where has all my time gone to? You might ask,if i dun have much time to kill, so y am i here typing these nonsense then? well to keep my sanity in check of cos.

At this moment in time, i really do not need questions such as:
"If humans evolved from monkeys/apes, why are they still here?" and
"Can one cry underwater?"

because if you ask me these sort of questions, i will start to think and it could drag on for hours. If you do not know this, let me educate you, this very action is call 'time killing'. I really do not need any more bad karma at present. Nonetheless, these questions and any form of 废话-s are greatly welcomed. i still need to keep my sanity. but i will be gathering more bad karma as a result.. however i really needa keep my sanity... hmm.. what a difficult choice to make. See..? things were indeed easier when we were young.

Ahead of the Curve: 2 years at Harvard Business School by Philip Delves.

This non-friction title was written by the author whom went to Harvard Business School (HBS) to study for his MBA. He doesnt have a goal here, unlike his peers, to enter the dog-eat-dog world out there in the corporate jungle. (just give him the benefit of doubt) The author studied Latin and Greek literature, history and philosophy, but knew nothing about business. Business people he thought, were wine-swilling, golf-playing and predictable slaves to money. By the time he finished his MBA, his understanding of business was considerably deepened, but his opinion of the business world and its players was not much different.

He admits that HBS does succeed in its mission of transforming students into business leaders. But he views it as failing them in almost every other way, he calls HBS a 'factory for unhappy people.' He labels his classmates as people of modest talents but with oversized ambition. Boastful, insecure and at times charming, they were destined for great things and careers that required them to sacrifice family and friends for the success they felt they so richly deserved. An intriguing insight provided by the author whom is that 'little' bit outta the norm; perhaps it was due to his education background that sets him apart from the rest of his peers at Harvard which allows him to see things that these people do not or failed to notice. A great read it is (if you can stop questioning why is he doing an MBA in HBS if he doesnt want a high flying career). it is only 298 pages long.

Primary and Secondary School --- Gold
Junior College--- Silver
Army --- Gold
2006 --- Silver
2007 & 2008 --- Fail

damn man.. i need to get my fitness level back. Soccer games, rock climbs, blading and cycling cant do much to help. Otherwise, RT beckons when i finish school.

Anyway, do you have goals or objectives? I have one now haha (read top). I guess we all have. However, do babies have goals? They cant set goals that's for sure, but does that means that they do not have goals or objectives? (remove the thought that goals exist only because ppl set them alright)I was pondering over it yesterday with some friends... in the end, it was concluded, babies have goals too. Though they might not know it or have set it, but it is in their subconscious anyway. You see, what do babies do all day besides sleep? Whenever they are not sleeping, they are eating (most of the time). Also, when babies cry, what do u do most of the times to shut him/her up? You stuck a bottle of milk into his/her mouth right? Isnt that obvious? Their objective is to 长大. haha.. u cant be feeding for most of your waking hours unless u r determined to undergo some immense cells multiplication right?. Otherwise, it doesnt seems right... no reasonable person will eats for all of his/her waking moment. Yup, so they do just that because that is their ultimate goal in life at that moment in time =)

p.s. faulty arguments aplenty i know. haha

you ask me, "if one keeps thinking about what the other person is doing at this moment in time is that call love?" and " if one keeps looking out for that particular someone either online or when you out with a group of friends is that call love?

i do not know the answers really. But the first is pretty obvious no? The 2nd one, maybe yes, maybe no. It could simply be that u find him/her interesting that's all.. dun think too much... 顺其自然...

Its the holidays, lets do FYP... Back to school, go Bata buy shoes

I want to finish my FYP 2 weeks before the deadline, or at least a week, so i can travel overseas. That said, i need to stop recommending stuffs to the professors who will then stop encouraging me to 'explore' further. My friend said (knowing my working style) with this 'take-home' project i will bound to work on it whenever i can. man is he right.. However, 'whenever-i-can' doesnt occur frequently due to other commitments and even when 'whenever-i-can' does arrive, i might not have the mood to work on it. You know there is this lastly invention or craze call Facebook? oh you heard about it already?! i am sorry... i am a laggard (by about a year). hmm.. nvm, u understand what i am talking about dont u.. some applications are sooo #$@&#@%-ing interesting... well well, 'whenever-i-can' has arrived (cant tell?), i better go get acquainted with some codes and blocks.

Such is life

This week hasn't been the most pleasant of weeks. No not because of the fyp or friends; and definitely not due to stock market or business either, these are too trivial in comparison. My family hasnt been in the pick of health lately. My grandma was diagnosed with suspected Parkinson but is ok now after some treatment. My shu gong just underwent an operation this Tuesday to treat tongue and lymph nodes cancer. went 2 visit him today, i was close to him when i was young. he taught me chinese chess. Almost cant help it when i see the scars on his mouth and shoulder and the tubes sticking out of him. damn it man.. really..
