i was looking for 'Tell Her' by Jesse McCartney when i stumble upon this song, i couldnt find the singer's name, it says Jim... most probably a relatively unknown singer or pub singer like Marcos Hernandez. (oh he is an Idol singer Jim bakkum from erm i dunno where)

exam starts tml, 6 papers, the first one starts on the first day of the exam period, the last one ends on the last day of the examination period. i would rather have all my papers in a week... oh well...

well, there are many contributing factors as to why i am still single so much so that it precludes a comprehensive discussion. Let's just say that i have always met the right person at the wrong time and erm at times the converse is true as well. I am can kinda disillusioned by it as well after an incident with a girl. Oh well, its not at the top of my agenda at the moment, the most important thing now is to get my health back completely, and oh i am working on two other possible venture at the moment, one with friends in NTU and another has got to do with tuition (not a tuition agency though) the details of which i will release if it turns out to be workable if not, then u wont hear about it i guess. Jiawei and Junyong why are u guys in France?..if not we can work together..executions for this two tasks are very important and i need both your brains... jiawei u always ask me to jio you if got any investment opportunities, but u r in france.... - -" both of you, drop the PSC/Eiffel Scholarship and come back... we can create something interesting and maybe huge here haha..like real

wonder if u fellows are reading this...take care if you are ..

ppl have always asked me from time to time why i work so hard. i have answered it countless of times and find some of them pretty frustrating. The answer to it is simple really, I wanna retire early and do the things i really like, thats all. However, it got to a point where it prompted me to think about it thoroughly. Have i gone overboard this time round? With that question in mind, i went to talk to my sister... she, like she has always been, is very good at giving advices. she told me that perhaps i have really over worked to the point that it is considered scary to some ppl. I think perhaps i really had.. so i guess i will be adding another item to the list of goals that i set for myself this year. She wanna me to bet with her for 100 bucks that i will change... and i have accepted that, i hear her and knows where she is coming from.

A mathematical parody of Fergie's Fergalicious

i think i am a geek i find this entertaining. Anyway, design 2 is over..... excellent. the last few days were not spent on formulas to compute brust radius etc but rather on photoshopping our work to get the desired results...from chem engineers to con men... hah...

Anyway, i am not very up to date with chinese songs, the last time i actually listened to a chinese radio station on a consistent basis was when i am 13. i am currently sourcing for more gems from the chinese music industry as i found that there are in fact tonnes of them (old and new alike, faye wong has got a dozen of them)... personally i feel that this is a nice song... what do u think...

Alright, the plant's capital cost is close to 300million. Not too bad, i guess my friend and i dont have a feel for numbers (especially for plant's cost). Hydrogen plant powered by coal instead of natural gas has capital costs of around USD$400-500 million.

Today's 2 presentation went pretty well i think, managed to capture their attention. The chinese students btw are so eager to learn that they dun even mind asking me, someone with have zero qualifications, about investing. felt so weird, .. hope to pass at least CFA level 1 before i graduate, if can pass level 2 that would definitely be better. But if what i said can help guide them into the world of investing, i will really wont mind spending time telling them what i know as long as they are eager to learn.... Oh well, going back to the chinese students, only the investing and trading part i can be more of a help to them actually.... their eagerness to learn is really astonishing, Singaporeans are a rather apathetic lot, these Chinese Nationals are not afraid to ask and seek help on matters that they are weak at. One of them got a place to read medicine at peking U but yet gave up that opportunity to come over to singapore to study, (i think she is crazy, though on e other hand it could turn out to be an excellent choice for her since she is very focused now on what she really wants, i like ppl who knows what they want in life). so if Singaporeans dun buck up, it will be hard for us to compete with them locally or internationally.

Oh well, song of the day:

Design 2

Design 2 , i think is the worst module that i have ever taken, very time consuming. and my team, haiz.. they are all smart ppl but the things they do are er.. rather below par.

First reactor: 30% conversion. i throw into a beaker can get more % conversion lo

Furnace: It requires a forced draft fan. The total utility for it is amazingly low, 40kW. switch on air conditioner already dunno how many watts liao... that forced draft fan which is suppose to suck contents upwards against gravity requires only 40kW. If only i can patent that fan. Many many other mistakes were discovered too which shouldnt have occur given their intelligence level. Hwa Chong JC Alumni c'mon....you guys can definitely produce much better work than this

Our total capital cost was estimated to amount 107million (expected to grow further after including waste water treatment), operating cost is at close to 25million per year. Li hai. Our hydrogen plant is just a sophisticated way to burn money i think. When i told a friend about our cost, he replied, "you all building hydrogen plant or hydrogen bomb?"

"Kaboom, goes the bomb, sorry, i mean our plant" -zh

BBC's April Fools Joke & Karaoke

Flying penguins, ya right... why not pigs ..hah

anyway, overheard my neighbour's karaoke session just now. He sang for quite a while, with 4 chinese songs initially, i think this person is weird, just listen to what he sings in the following sequence:

Very nice song...... din even knew there was such a song by faye wong, beautiful

what the hell.... followed by...

this hokkien one at least not that bad... lastly...

after which he switched to U2's and Rob stewart songs... interesting combination ya... took me ages to find the title of these songs lo... was totally distracted once he started singing... oh well, back to design 2 ... as usual...
"Many of those students that were expecting to start working for Bears Stearns this spring as either an intern or a full-time hire, are now finding themselves cut loose following the firm's dramatic near collapse last month.JPMorgan Chase said Friday it had canceled a portion of the offers Bear Stearns made to students earlier this year, just weeks after it scooped up the troubled investment bank at a fire sale price. However, those interns that it was not able to hire could receive the 10 weeks of pay they would have received if they spend their summer working at a non-profit approved by the company."

I had encountered a similar problem when i secured an internship with chartered semi-conductor last year, got 'kicked out' due to some acquisition issues, but why wasnt i offered such benefits? Have to call the other companies that i have rejected initially to beg them to take me in.

ah, i finally remembered the name of the first ever korean drama i have watched rather nice, but not the first jap drama though.. seldom watch tv programmes except for sports and news.

At home in biz school..engineering? huh? whats that..

This semester has been rather fun, meeting lotsa new ppl in business and giving out name cards, especially to those in the CFA interest group and the other Beta Gamma Sigma members. Anyway, the students in biz are generally much more ambitious and street smart than the engineering students and they have rather good presentation skills, moreover, their resumes are pretty decent too. Also, not only do they have dreams to become entrepreneurs, some are already doing it for real, and the effort they put into the market research ah, amazing man. I have expressed interest in some of their plans and one is already sending me updates every now and then on his progress. His plan sounds really feasible to me, it is quite li hai of him to think of it in the first place actually. At biz school, i feel so at home. Oh well, back to design 2 ...
